how come they weigh so heavy, the b5 a4 1.8t is 1225 kilo, a tt clocks in at 1450 kilos, seems a lot in comparison?

All that extra crash safety, plus 4wd, modern tech that buyers demand etc are bound to bump the weight up. Even the b5 is a heffer compared to earlier family saloons. That's "progress" for you...

The Mk1 TT is one of the best built cars i've ever driven. High quality parts all over. Is it heavy? Yes but it's worth it!

It's not a racer, it's a cruiser and it does its job well. Wish I never sold it!
