Can you believe a 4.0 GT3 RS has been stripped and dumped?

Why so surprised? Porsches get stolen just like any other car...

yes The kind of people who steal will have zero sympathy for the owners or the machine.

Look like a LHD and the dash was left alone.

A shell would be a lot harder to dispose of though than the bits that are already stripped I would imagine.

The only info I have for it was that it was stolen in Germany.

fairly typical of a car stolen to order for parts.

Most outfits have routes to crushers though to make sure the evidence is disposed of fully

Dibs on the steering wheel.

On a serious note that is seriously harsh, no ones car should suffer that fate regardless of what it is.

It isn't stolen, its the new GT3RS 4.0 Club Sport FL (Feider Leicht), Porsche have saved 500 kilos off the weight of the normal model and it costs an extra £80,000.

At least the shell can be recovered by the insurance company and sold on to a race team. These German car thieves have been quite kind, in the UK the shell would be chopped up and weighed in.

If it were in the UK then the ****s would more than likely only taken 10% of the valuable parts and got more kicks from setting fire to restrolleyes

I wouldn't have thought there were too many for sale if the owner wants to replace it. Poor sod.

I don't understand how parts from very limited-run cars can hold much value on the market. Sure any 4.0 owner who needs replacement parts will be getting them from Porsche, and who will be paying any more for dodgy 4.0 parts than they would for parts from another 911?

Never understood the point in this sort of theft myself. Not that I'm advocating stealing cars of any kind, but wouldn't there be a much larger market for 'normal' 911 parts?
