2009. Power Washed the car at the weekend, about 200yds later PTM failure and PSM failure lights came on.. drove on hoping it was one of those occasions where the warning light goes away, unfortunatly not.
I was paying particular attention to cleaning the rear wheels/arch and am wondering if I have damaged a sensor or something.....
Anyone experienced similar or have any obvious home remedies to try before seeking further help? Thanks.

Is it on permanently? I know it's common for those lights to come on with a faulty MAF but in that case it's usually only once the car's accelerated.

No its on all the time. Cant activate the sport mode(overboost etc) however can harden the suspension.. I thought that there was perhaps a sensor in the wheel arch that I had damaged with the power wash, but probably just a coincidence, tried disconnecting the battery light comes back on within seconds...

Hi - any update here, did you manage to resolve this as I am having similar issue.

Drove through torrential downpour on motorway - now have a number of issues

- rear lights / reversing lights - warning coming up - but all working
- rear spoiler no longer works
- rear engine lid won’t release
- front trunk release doesn’t work (but key fob works)

Also had a moment driving along where hazard lights + interior lights came on

L plugged in computer to check errors codes but nothing coming up that we can clear

Any help appreciated (I’m 250 miles from home !)

What car?
that sounds like symptoms typical of water ingress flooding the below driver seat and passenger seat ECUs.
Would tally with driving through torrential rain
Have you checked for wetness below the seats?
