Used car warranty validity - Euro use

As per the title, I'm looking into buying a used car - maybe from a dealer (probably a 10 yr old porsche 996) and am looking at useful the warranty is if I am likely to be using the car in mainland Europe for the first couple of months ( the usual warranty period).
I'm obviously just looking at the potential bork associated with those engines and whether a dealer purchase is worthwhile for me - I assume the dealer would want to inspect faults on their premises prior to supporting any potential warranty claim?
