Front or back?

Rear cover is just sikaflexed in place, front shroud does indeed have hidden fixings underneath normally with a 10mm nut holding them.

The front sets, until I know how to remove the rings or what ever they are called for painting I dont want to force them or break them,,,

The later Chimaera's had 2 bolts to hold the headlight cover in place. The earlier ones just used mastic sealant. The light unit is behind the headlight surround which is held in place with 2 x 10mm nuts at the bottom of the unit. The headlight unit is bonded to the glass fibre body using mastic.

Hi Dick are you still on the Seawell, The car Well not really, the car is going into the Garage to be resprayed within 2 weeks and they will keep it until I get back home next leave, I have the new hood and black carpets already and will be fitted by a local upholsterer, the seats I'm keeping and are being redone also with the center seat and back in red leather, The garage are allowing me to strip everything to keep the costs down which is really good of them,,,

Are you keeping the same body colour? I'm liking the interior look mate... Any mechanical upgrades planned? Are you going for a headlight conversion?

So many questions wink

Ahh , got it now. Mine has a few cracks in the paint on the front wing and the rear above the back light has started to craze, so I will have to take the plunge at some point. That silver/ grey has got me thinking....

Yea I agree there are a few marks on the front of mine and the door buttons are quite worn and dull around them, I must admit changing the colour is a big thing but I have thought a lot about it, the inside and outside will not please everyone but also some will like it, it hasn't been an easy decision, the car gives you a lot of leeway to do what you want well looks wise,,,

The faired in headlights are on my to do list also Kenny smile IMO they look as good in the flesh as they do in the photo, and certainly look lovely on red coloured cars....

As regards tuning, I think I'd go turbo with after market ECU and a big brake kit to go under your new 17" rims wink

Kenny - the lights look very nice - a very nice addition.

Hi Nosh yea a different Red brighter than mine at the moment my colour just looks faded and dull, what is the Exhaust induction mod ?, I do intend doing the lights mod at some time, at the moment I have a lot going on with the car been in touch with D&C and they are going to do my carpets rear window and hood and going to ask them for a price 2 toning the seats, I have a price already from a local upholsterer but that means me stripping the carpets out and it was still expensive I think,,,

I have Clive's Y piece still bubble wrapped up, two mainfolds that need de-pre-catting and coating, so that's the exhaust. (I will store my old manifold and Y piece (fully catted) in case I sell or decide to return to the old).

For induction, I a getting THIS kit from ACT - I don't need a new air filter, as my K&N looks brand new...
