I would go a few times before going to bid...get a feel for how it works
Don't forget the buyers fees when calculating your budget.
Stick to your budget...if a car goes over let it go.

Good advice, especially the bit about buyers fees - bought a car from auction last month for £12k and there was nearly £600 in fees it only made sense because the total price was still around trade money.
