Possible nickel rash on my face - nickel free glasses?

Since getting my last two sets of glasses (specsavers) about 9 months ago, i've had a constant rash across my face, in between my eyebrows and under my eyes near the cheekbones. The skin is chapped and never properly heals.

A google image search for a nickel rash shows images of people with very similar symptoms as mine. I can apply savlon cream and it goes away for a little while but is still there. It looks like ive been out in the sun too long. I've changed the nose pads on the glasses to several different types, to no avail.

I had an eye-test the other week and i raised the issue. The optician informed me the frames were titanium, but to be honest, i didnt have confidence in him and believe he was talking ste. I cant imagine specsavers own brand of glasses to be anything other than the cheapest manufacturing process avaliable, which is nickel.

I can wear contacts but prefer glasses.

Does anyone know where i can specifically buy nickel free frames? I dont like plastic frames, and prefer my glasses to be rimless. Searching across the main retailers doesn't seem to yield any positive results, which suprises me as i understand quite a lot of people can have a nickel allergy.

try painting the parts that come into contact with your skin with clear nail polish, it may need repeating occassionally as it wears off.
I used to have a nickle allergy & my major trigger point was my watch back, never had a problem when it was painted over.

worth a shot to see if it helps before sourcing more expensive frames
