Hi

Looking at this Tamora at Racing Green

Wondered if anyone knows more about its history. Drives well and appears to be in good condition.

I drove this car a while ago:

One of the main things I liked about it was the owner. I worked with him for a reasonable period of time in the late 80s and early 90's and he is a pretty decent bloke. I didnt know that until I turned up to view and we spent longer chatting than looking at the car!

This was his third TVR, all bought new and this car was not going to be for sale but he now needs something different.

The reason for me not buying it is in the post above.

TV8 - Thanks very much.

I drove a Tuscan to begin with and I will be honest, it frightened me! Need balls to drive one.

Tamora felt much tighter and more planted on the road. The example at RGC looks in good condition and well looked after, some small gaps in service history and no engine build yet.

May go back on Saturday for a final drive and decision time.

Thanks again

hi Ben nice looking Tam, love those wheels too.Just a word of caution interior looks like that horrid bison that just drops to bits my old Tam looked like it had a terrible skin problem .It is an early Tam and doesnt have the latest upgrades. Mine needed complete interior refit and carpets so have a very close look. Happy hunting, dont rule out a Tuscan, did you drive a mk2? I went from T350T to Chim to Tam to Tuscan S mk2 which is a pussy cat until provoked and then oh boy its fireworks time. The Tam is a super car with perfect manners.

I have always loved the look of the tuscan and wanted one for ages. Drove a very nice mk1 and something did not click for me. Amazing car but not me.

Previsouly I have driven lotus Elise's, tamora had that planted feel. Tuscan felt more like it wanted to chuck me off the road every corner!

try a mk 2 it feels planted like the Tam unless you hit loud pedal too much!! and the scenery starts spinning

I have driven a Tuscan Mk1 and MK2, the MK1 should come with driving lessons! very scary car (I think I would have ended up in hospital if I owned one). The MK2 was far better but still felt it needed the geometry/steering fixing. If you like the Tamora then I would stick to it, you can't buy better for the money. If the one you are interested is real half leather then I think it could be worth a punt. If not I would ensure you get at least £1.5K knocked of the price.
