I had the pleasure of some alone time with the Porsche 918 Spyder in Dubai on Tuesday.

Very very special. Not to mention I got a shot of my old knacker with the new lady.

Nice scoop, Phil. I would take that old knacker over the 918 any time...

You know what they say, it's a st job but some has got to do it. I really love the top mounted exhausts.

Say what?

“We have 315kg of hybrid equipment in the car which brings us a lot of benefits despite the extra weight,” he explains. “The electric components are as low in the car as possible. The battery is in a compartment behind the carbon monocoque, and the V8 engine is mounted very low, which all means that the centre of gravity is below the wheel locks, which makes a huge difference to the balance of the car.”

Christ that's low! Must've taken some doing, well done Porsche! clap

Nice pics OP, any chance of a video of the sound?

Loving your old nail - lol ! Proper gentlemens chariot.

Not loving the 918 if I'm honest. Looks very average although I'm sure its a mental drive.

The 918 isn't a great looker it's true, looks like an F360 from the front and a Gameboy from the back. I'd still have one given though wink

It is insane isn't it. Not the best looker from the pics, but a stunner in the flesh. Mind you, it isn't a CGT by any stretch.
