toyota engine info
Discussion
hi i have a 2005 .1800 avensis vvti, it needed engine replaced . i found engine and had it put in. a couple of things had to be swapped around to get it in and running ,anyway it goes ok.only problem is the original engine had 1zz-fe engine code. this one has e1z-t72r on it. this allso is supposed to be a 2005.i cant find out if this is correct and main dealers wont give any info about year or modle of car it has come from without chassis number.so i dont know what to do if i need any parts . any info welcome .thanks derek.
These may help.

E1Z is a 1ZZ engine, but it was not the standard code for a celica, it is the code used on the Avensis prior to the D4_D direct injection engines so it might be a pre 53 plate Avensis it came from.
Looks like what you have may be a pre 2005 lump.
