Browns lane is huge. The carpark would do an international airport proud and they run a bus service to reception for visitors IIRC!
Was supposed to be going there next wednesday, venue changed to castle brom a couple of days ago. Can't think why!

They have just refurbished the Coventry Museum. With the old Standard (Massey-Ferguson) factory closing, Triumph is now Sainsbury's; the whole of Coventry might as well be a museum.
However Sir William left Blackpool and re-located his company to Coventry. It might be a good idea for TVR to do the same.

There's already a museum of sorts in Browns lane, Brand Heritage Centre or some such name. A few cars, some display bits, a little cinema showing promo stuff and a couple of Jag F1 simulator cars last time I was there. I guess they mean that's staying, might not be anything new.
Come to think of it, with Ford owning Gaydon just down the road that museum doesn't seem to make much sense now either.

Believe it or not but Browns Lane has a logistical bottleneck limiting max throughput to around 38,000 per year! They haven't got near that figure for the past few years either. Note: BL only assenbles XJ and XK models. Most of the buildings are empty and have been redundant for ages. They still have the dedicated building ('track 6') where they assembled MkII Jags which has been virtually dormant since Ford bought it. A LOT of wasted space there and premium residential building land. Only Headquarters building and veneer shop to remain AFAIK.
