130k but it's had it's engine rebuilds and tweeks and full service history.

I've modified it a lot - it's hybrid really. If someone wanted an original then it's not for them.
If someone wanted a complete weapon of the car it would be a dream car.
400BHP - it needs some respect

I've spent a fortune on it - in excess of £50k. The wheels alone are £5k worth !
A labour of love (or obsession).

Worth what people are willing to pay.
As its not particular standard your audience will be even smaller than whats classed as very small audience in any case.
I sold a lovely 5 speed 89 for 40k with 52k miles on.

There are a few for sale at silly prices granted 40k+ but they hang around for ages for obvious reasons.

Exactly right - it's worth whatever someone's will to pay.
It's actually at 87 930 - which only had the 4 speed - we put a 5 speed in. It made sense at the time!

It is priceless - one of kind - just considering options

Hard to value that, as it is a very small market.

The great majority of 930 buyers will be looking for a standard car.

Maybe 30k?

I reckon you will get more if you return it to standard, at least visually.

Lovely car and looks like you have done a great job. I know the cost that can go into modifying turbo cars.

I struggle with big wheels on these, I know you have done it because of the brakes but it has to be fuchs for me. I have a modified supersport and I am going the other way, going back to 15" fuchs from 16"!

Keep it, you wont find something as good as this, it takes years to get just how you want it and you never recoup the money, I have done it many times with Porsches.

Good advice - I don't really want to sell

Plus one on keeping it. Agreed that once you have got it just how you want it. You'll regret selling it

If you HAVE to sell it then return it to standard, and I mean change the box and all, you will get strong money - maybe early to mid 30's. You could sell the upgraded bits separately and probably recoup £5k plus easily so £40k all up all day long.

If you have to sell it but don't have the standard bits then its a problem because no matter how good it is sadly it is a modified 930 - and as it's not a Ruf or similar it will be worth less. My guess would be mid to late 20's. I am of course assuming you have done the mods yourself and of course I may be wrong.

My father has the same car, same colour (the best) and we have left it standard bar a K27, exhaust, Tial etc.. But all the standard bits are boxed and can be fitted in a day. Remember the highest value Turbo on the market today would be a bog standard '77 3.0l, not an '89 5 speed and it will always be that way as the early cars started it all and are like rocking horse poo....

If you dont have to sell it then keep it as is, its a stunning looking car and I'm sure it drives great judging by the kind of mods you have done. All credit to you, and no offence intended in my appraisal of your cars value, its a belter and I genuinly hope you benefit from the pleasure it gives you for many, many years to come.

Its a very small market for a buyer and a seller a 930.
Someone must want the car for what it is mods and all. As for a price,to sell around £30k would be a
start point and go from there.
Also the values are holding steady on the 930's another point what are you going to replace it with maybe?

In a moment of madness yesterday, I was thinking about selling it. It doesn't get used very much, got the Mini and the Corvette to use as well. But you guys are right. I've spent years getting to how I want it. I'd be made to sell it. It would have to be a stupid offer wink

In which case, lend it to me and that means it'll get used and you'll not have the pain of selling it and can have it back when you want. The best of all worlds.

I'd say it's one to keep. You've got it the way you want it, so it's probably worth more to you than someone else might be prepared to pay.
