public enemy tour
Discussion
Before i discovered my love of all guitar music,as a lad in the 80s and a teenager in the 90s to me music was crap, the 80s being a terrible time for music in my honest opinion,the 90s got better with the seattle sound and more metal music coming around, anyway i always listened to rap / hip hop i noticed public enemy are touring so i sorted myself out a ticket. Anybody on here going or have they seen the live before.
I watched them play Reading 92 a thought they were awful but if you look at the line up that year you can see why http://www.songkick.com/festivals/57-reading/id/23...

Saw them back in the day on the Def Jam Tour- at the time it was mind blowing!!
Saw them a few weeks ago in Bristol and they still are as much on point as they were back then!!, the gig was just a few days after Flavor Flav's little "incident with his ex" so no one was sure if he was going to be there or not- he was! and bounded on like a nutter!
Chuck and Flav just true masters of the game! i guess when you been at it for 25 odd years you get honed!!
Full live band and a replacement for Terminator X called DJ Lord who is just immense!!- Flav also took to the drums and a bass guitar at one point- bit iffy, but very very funny!!
If you get the chance- go see them- Do Believe the Hype!!!

I saw them last year and I thought they were great, really high energy show. I wouldn't know if it was as good as them playing back in the day as I never saw that but definitely worth going to. Although I must say I did enjoy the DJ Jazzy Jeff set I saw last year over Public Enemy's performance.

+1 That's a show I'd love to have seen. Im tempted to go. I've seen a few people I've not seen recently from the golden age and have been a bit disappointed. Everyone says PE shows are still good.
It was bloody brilliant, Digital Underground were the standout act for me (other than PE obviously) - It was at the same time 'The Humpty Dance' had blown up in America so the place erupted when they played that. Joyrider1 said:
