What exactly can you deduct from MOT emission figures?

Is it your exhaust is working well, your engine is running smoothly, or both? or other stuff too?

just had my MOT today and the lamda test had min of 0.97 and 1.03 max and mine was 1.001, and CO was 0.2 max (i think) and my car was 0.005 or so; well within all the limits...

does this mean anything particularly "good" as such? car is on 130k miles

My thoughts have been pass = good. Fail = bad. No use in thinking too much into it.

You can deduce, fueling is good and that the cat is working as it should.
