Hi guys

Has anyone got the mounting bracket for the hot-wire AFM to suit a Wedge lying about? Guessing that this would have been off the late 400 / 450SE's?

Beer tokens waiting!

Cheers

Chris

Chris,

That's a standard Bosch hotwire MAF that is fitted to thousands of cars; they had two options, one fitted with screws and one with clips as shown. Most of these MAFS were fitted into plastic airboxes so you may be able to grab an airbox cover of a Merc/BMW/Saab/VW in a scrapyard and hack it about to get what you need.

I would also guess the metal version you're showing in the pic is not a TVR specific part as the tooling for a pressing like that wouldn't be cheap and TVR aren't known for investing money unecessarily! Do you know anyone who has a part like that on their car that they can search for a part number or some other marking? I'd guess Merc/BMW, maybe a trip to a specialist breaker's in order?

Good luck!

Hi Martin

I am sure your right don,t you love TVR's! I have put the word out on the Griff / Chim forums and a couple of guys have said they may have one in their parts boxes so fingers crossed. Bit of a delay on the project for various bits n bobs we need, but not too far away now I hope. Maybe next week now for a first turn of the key heres hoping!
