I passed something rare on the A3 today, very unusual looking, like a 5 door version of the 3 door E-type.

Like a 60's version of todays Porsche Panamerica.
Was not a Jag but had similar looks.

Had 2 large round / oval headlamps, and a large central oval shaped grille.
Was 4 doors, long, low, quite narrow like an E-type and might have been a lift back or hatch back was not a conventional saloon.

Any ideas?
Nice to see something being used that is a bit unusual!

Sounds about right to me. If it was 5 door it must be bigger than the E type. Oval grille suggests Bristol.

Surprised to see these were made in the 50's looked more like from the 60's, must have been amazing looking in its time.
