What boot mounted cycle carrier?

As the title says, I am looking for a quality Bike Carrier (2bikes) for rear mounting on the boot of a BMW 3 Series Convertible. Recommendations for a suitable Carrier that, ideally, doesn't require a light board and also that keeps the bikes/pedals away from bodywork would be much appreciated. I have heard the Saris Bones is suitable?..Any 4 seater convertible owners out there who regularly carry bikes?

I've got a Saris Bones 2 and its done me proud for a fair few years now. It's currently living off the back of my CRV but used to live on the back of my Prelude. Great bit of kit, if you are worried about scratching just make sure you put some clean foam or material between the feet and the paintwork.

I've had 2 bikes on the back and done motorway speeds with no problems.

+1. Got mine on ebay for £20! seems strong, just a faff to tighten all of the supports, but every rack will have that.
