My echoice policy has gone from £550 to £712 to £850 in 3 years with no claims or convictions, my broker who does the BMW for £400 ish cant get much under £1k on the SL (I live technically in Birkenhead but its called Prenton) thats why.

It looked like nationwide insurance at £700 for me but I tried Aviva, I havent used them for years as they went out of the high power market but this time with an SP30 its £535 with protected NCB, big factor was the Mrs being on the policy but this thread is to point out trying them as many dont.

Im 49 / no accidents / 3 points

Now someone will say "Ive got an SL and I pay £237.99" go on your out there ;o)

I've got an SL500 AND i pay... £177 a year fully comp with the AA! I know mine is older than yours but it's still one hell of a difference - insurance companies = make it up as you go along.

I know it's apples and oranges, but similar power, my 2003 CL 55 AMG Kompressor comes in around £300 per year.
I'm 36 this year have max no claims, no accidents & no points. Protected NCB, no voluntary excess & business use.
Adding my wife made no difference to the premium.
Car is parked on a driveway near to the outskirts of Gloucester.
We're with Admiral Multicar and insure 2 others with them but moved my wife's C220 to Halifax this year as Admiral couldn't come close on the quote.
