I'm going to do a full paint restoration on a good clean 911, theres no rust or bodywork needed, I'm interested in peoples experience on dipping and recoating or grit blasting and primingbefore painting. This is particularly rlevent on a 911 as I understand that the original panels are galvanised and I would like to keep this.

Acid dipping is best IMO we do it on our full reato's. you have to strip it down to a bare shell tho...

We have had a few cars damaged having them sand blasted

Dip.... I will never have a car sand blasted again.... Lesson learnt
