Hi there

Thought I'd try PFC pads next. (996 GT3) What's the best (cheapest!) place to get them from? Most shops seem to be in USA. Anyone selling those in EU?

Thanks.

Hi. If you are in the south and need someone to fit them as well then Nine Excellence can do supply and fit across the PFC range.

Thanks for your suggestions. I couldn't find them on Demon tweeks though.. Ferodo and EBC but no PFC.
9 Excellence doesn't seem to have a webshop at all. Need to contact them directly then.

Any other places where to look?

If by PFC you mean Performance Friction then design911.com certainly stock them - that's where I bought mine. Are you changing pads and discs or just pads? I went for PF06 which are one of their race pads and its taken two track days to stop them squealing on my standard Pagid discs. They've now brought out the PF08 which I think is less prone to squealing. They're great pads though - as good as the Mintex on my race Boxster.

I will change discs as well.(not PFC discs though)
I am thinking PF08 for fronts and PF06 for rears.

And yes, design911 seems to have them in stock. I ordered Demon tweeks motorsport catalogue as well so I can compare the prices. There can't much difference I suppose but I am not in a hurry so..

If you do discs and pads at once you might find you don't get any squealing at all - the issues I had may have been down to putting new pads on old discs - even though I did bed them in according to the PF procedure. I presume you already have decent brake fluid - Super Blue or similar?

I have been using Motul rbf600 for brakefluid. It's cheap and has been ok for me for many years. I do trackdays only so no real racing action. Might change for Castrol next time because of the colour difference -easier to see when the old fluid has drained completely.
