2nd car no claims + insurance

I'm planning on buying a new car

My current car will go on sale and might not sell before the new one arrives. Highly likely

I've just realised I'm not sure how the insurance is handled. I don't intend on keeping the current car. It should go within a few weeks but the current market could mean I may have it for a month or 2.

I'm fairly sure esure (my current provider) won't mirror my no claims. Having 1 of them on a zero ncb policy will cost a fortune. Can't believe its based on the car not the person. So silly.

Any ideas?

Every insurer I have ever had to ask this of has covered two cars when I have had a new one and there has been an overlap

I do remember there being an overlap last time

But I'm not sure how long I get??
