Has anyone replaced the 'rubber corners' on the top and back of the door, used to finish off the slot that the window rises in.

I've got a couple of new ones, and I've tried sticking them on with a black mastic and then araldite and both times they came off.

The ideal sticky stuff is SikaFlex, which is an adhesive used for boats etc. Should be able to buy it online or at your local chandlers! Not cheap but v sticky and resilient.

Yes, that's what I originally used and described as black mastic above.

I'm sticking rubber to painted glassfibre.

Paul their is no reason why this should not stick to the paintwork however their may be a polish or other substance on the paint i would suggest using a cleaner such as a fast evaporating spray ie electrical cleaner on both surfaces prior to sticking to it.

V0146 Door Top Finisher L/H £2.27
V0145 Door Top Finisher R/H £2.27

My local dealer TVR Gatwick.

You might have to shape/chop out some of the inside profile so that the window as it rises doesn't foul.
