Reflex charcoal question

Can it be done using water based paints?

Same also goes for Reflex Green?

Is Rolex Blue any easier or cheaper for not being a 'flip' colour?

Trying to get a new car sprayed in one of my favourite colours.

I'd imagine Rolex Blue is a fair bit cheaper and easier as it's just pearlescent. And a standard BMW colour I'm led to believe.

Yeah it's meant to be a BMW standard but when I needed to touch up mine, none of the codes matched up which was a complete pain in the a**.

As in you want the car painted these colours new at the factory??

Chances are they send them out anyway as jag and land rover do!

Yes I want a Reflex Charcoal Lotus Exige. They'll paint your car any colour you like for the price of their 'motorsport paint' (£1800).

However they only use water based paints and RC wasn't when TVR were using it. I also suspect it would cost more than £1800 once they see how much it costs for a litre of the stuff!

Still, if someone's found a way to make it water based then at least I can let them know that. Otherwise it'll have to be their own Motorsport Green. Which is great but it's no Reflex Charcoal. Then again what is?

All colours are available in ici waterborne and glasurit waterborne can send you formulas if required. Rfu price is £430 per ltr they should pay much less being a manufacturer
