Hi. I was watching a repeat of an old Wheeler Dealers last night (on Dave or Discovery, or something). The car was a Mercedes Cosworth 190E, reg D578XAR. I checked its details on MyCarCheck and it says it's a 190E, with a 2.3l engine but it says it's Silver - and that it was first registered on 01/02/07. Is the likelihood that it's been written off and the plate reissued, or has the car had a private plate and it's been reissued? Just wondering, that's all! Maybe MyCarCheck is just wrong.

I thought the 190E Cosworth had a 2.3 ltr engine, and only the last few Evo versions had the 2.5.

I think the date is just a typo, 01/02/87 would be a D reg.

A quick Google search suggests that it was actually exported on 1/2/07.

Are you sure you havent been looking at the date of liability instead of the date of registration?

I'm just watching a repeat of this episode this morning and was wondering what happened to the car.
I don't know that, but the Silver colour is correct. The Jewish Racing Gold colour is called Smoke Silver.
