I used to have a cerb and loved the whole keyless thing has anyone managed a push button start on a tuscan. I have read the forums but cant find a definitive yes or no. Pics would be great as well as cost and some idea where the conversion was done.
Please dont just tell me to go buy a cerb ... smile

Hi, not sure if this helps, but a few years back in the sprint mag they did a comparison between a chim and tuscan. I'm certain the tuscan had an aftermarket push button fitted to it where the ash tray is sited.

Hi

Do you mean a starter button or a RFID system?

A starter button (single LED) is relatively simple to fit. Get the silver button off demon tweaks and then wire it up from the ignition
to the starter motor. I put mine on the console next to the upper left hand side of the gear lever.

The RFID system is a lot more hassle and while I looked into it a few years back, decided not to bother. It is not impossible to do, just didn't think it was worth the effort.

Im not sure what u mean by rfid.
But in the cerb there was no key. Press and disarm \ unlock press and hold to start.
With yours are u using the key fob to enter the into the barrel and so on
Then pressing the starter ?
Ps. Got a pic
Cheers

Not used a Cerb, so the system I did on mine was purely to replace the III stage of the ignition sequence.

An RFID system is a pure keyless system. You have a fob which unlocks the card, disarms the alarm and then enables the
starter button. They are available as AM kits.

I already did a few years back.

I identified a couple of systems that could be post installed and the work that would be necessary with costs.

If you are seriously interested, I could try and dig up the information again. I might still have it in
a project file somewhere... biggrin

I am very jealous, I know for a fact I don't have the skill to,do it myself. Did you do it yourself or did you get someone to do it for you? Any pictures?
Cheers

Hi

I think you misread. I did not fit the RFID system in the end, but went with just a starter button instead.

You can do an RFID system and YouTube had some good examples from memory of systems available, but when I looked at the option, I decided to put it off until later and then just forgot about it.

My Sagaris had and still has other projects to keep me amused for a while, before coming back to this one. This is relatively simple. biggrin

(Now have an interesting decision to think about tonight and tomorrow...)

What are you after pics of? The starter button?

No, the shields and weapon systems are incorporated into the satnav unit.

However, I was planning on adding a dry ice release using that space.

Some would question why you need a start button... hehe

Two tone illumination for one, mate. Plus I was looking at repositioning a few things size wise.

Decided to take the existing starter button and design a new encasement for it that can then be illuminated separately, say in frosted plastic, should look quite good.

Playing around with some ideas...
