New Aston Vantage - European Road Trip

Hello,

Just wanted to say hello to the Aston Martin owners on here. I am a very proud new owner of a 2006 AM Vantage V8 . I saw it online and bought it straight away over the Christmas period from W Specialist Cars LTD in Cheltenham. The owner Richard was great, I highly recommend them.

I was active on the forum many years back when I had an Elise, Griff and Cerbera...I needed the technical support to keep the cars running!

Are there any Aston owners clubs up in the North West, I live north of Bolton near Rivington?

To me after owning 911's as-well I think it is one of the best cars I have ever driven. So, I have a road trip planned in 2 weeks, I am leaving a job in Breda the Netherlands so though it would be rude not to drive over and do a road trip! If anyone has any tips on routes or things to see on the way.

May plan is in 8 days travel to travel to:

1. Breda
2. Nurburgring
3. Zurich
4. Milan
5. Marranello (Ducati and Ferrari Factory Tours)
6. Aix En Provence
7. Geneva (for the Motorshow)
8. Long haul back to Manchester.

There is only the AMOC and here that I know of on the Aston club front. I'm sure will get a variety of views on the Amoc here!

Make sure you drive over the Juras when you leave Geneva.

You might be able to fit in a bit of the Route Napoleon too.

Yes love the car its amazing. I would like to try the Juras but I was worried they would be icy snow covered this time of year...and the Napoleon route sounds great, I think I will try some of the route on the way back.

Mattbelly2002- I am so jealous enjoy Germanys Autobahns

My only advice would be to research each countries speed limits for what you have to reach before you are banned, varies from country to country, France is 50kmh over limit, Sweden is 30kmh, France would be instant on the spot, Sweden would be 2 days grace, so research which countries limits as that these ..... ...... don't get too upset.

Also remember that most of European Industry / shops etc, slows down on the weekend, except for France, which actually closes on the weekend

I have done alot of France on two wheels, but I am very cautious of Switzerland so I will be sensible there...however, as for the autobahns, they might be a different story
