He told The Northern Echo: "I could have appealed against the fine because the warning sign was not lit up, which by law it has to be.


So for us mere-mortals then appeals mean nothing, but when he's under the scope, oh spare me gatso. Endless glee.

I have actually got a lot of time for this copper - his zero tolerance worked - never understood where it went wrong tho'. Any BiBs out there in the know?

Probably the same as my Dad who worked in Local Government. Never got to the top of the ladder as his attitude was wrong. He always considered his 'customer' was the rate payer and not the local councillor.

Seconded. From what I heard about his approach I was all in favour, and I was very sorry that things went wrong for him.
