Not great I thought. This lady really does not do it for me, and the food didn't either. Trashy, sharp talking italian 'vixen' style grated, even in the trailers (the lingering slo-mo look at the camera was like 'erk'?!) an the food didn't seem that enticing. Give me cuddly Adam and some giant chilli dogs any day.

I watched last weeks episode but couldn't get 15 minutes into this one, its not so much her but the stupid guys she talks to.

Guy, Ching and Barefoot Contessa are much better.

I've not watched the show, but the adverts - with her ridiculously OTT "Noo Yoik" accent - put me right off.

She doesn't really talk like that, does she? Her accent was almost as bad as Don Cheadle's in Oceans Eleven.

I started to watch this the other evening. Lasted 5 mins and had to turn it off.

I think I could put up with her if the recipes were any good but they looked like utter rubbish!

Yup. Far too affected, crap recipes, all filler no killer. Guy's big bites for me, also affected but he can cook at least.

I have watched a few eps of this, and the way the bloke talks and the way it is shot (i.e. far to fast and not long enough on the food to actually see it properly) does my head in.

It's got to be put on - at least a bit.

She's Italian-Candian, but often sounds like Mike Strutter's wife, i.e. using Jewish words/phrases with a Brooklyn accent.
