Where does snot come from?

Mrs P has had green stuff coming from her nose for the past week and has demanded I find the answer!

She's been to the Drs and he's not too concerned (blood tests today) but we're just wondering where does such a volume of snot come from, how does the body produce it etc etc.

Does she also have pain and a build up of pressure around the forehead and eye area?

If so it'll more than likely be a sinus infection. Took me a couple of courses of antibiotics to get rid of mine. It antibiotics do t work the solution isn't pleasant from what I hear...

Not Sinusitus, they're actually thinking and testing for glandular fever..

Sorry Glandular Fever doesn't give you green snot. What you describe says to me that there is some sort of infection in the Sinus..in otherwords Sinusitis. Classic symptoms. Go to the chemist and ask for some "SINUTABS"......if they don't clear it..get the doctor to prescribe antibiotics...which are given for extreme infections. I was always told at Med School...Bright Green means infection...Brown snot means infection gone and now clearing up.
