A few questions...

As a prospective buyer having sold my Noble last year, I`ve started looking at cars and I`ve got a couple of questions that hopefully someone will take the time to answer.
Firstly is there much to be gained by having a fuel injection system fitted to a SBC in place of the downdraft carburetor - would it help with the general smoothness of the engine as well as giving better fuel efficency.
Secondly on a car I viewed yesterday I noticed a significant amount of anhedral in the drive shafts - they sloped down significantly from the gearbox final drive to the rear hubs. (I`ve seen other cars and not noticed this - but then I never looked at that area - and I assume it`s designed that way).I presume this is because the installed engine centre line for the V8 is higher in the Ultima than in the flat 6 Porsche. Does this make the Lobros joints a weak area due to then running continuously at an angle?
Finally I understand the cars are very sensitive to set up geometry but are they also sensitive to tyre types?

I have an efi SBC and it is amazing. Starts at the touch of a button no sitting there for 5 mins revving trying to get it to tick over. never stalls, load of aircon and electrics does not make it stall drives lovely whatever the temp/altitude.
Wonderful. Economy not much different but that depends if the carb was well set up. I also have a fully prog ignition system which helps as well but go efi if you can.
Only downside is that some systems require a lot of set up rather like a carb.
I have plug and play system by FAST and that is exactly it 5 mins to setup without a dyno. Have not touched it since.
Its a canam but if you want to try it give me a pm. I am in Southampton though

drive shafts have to at an angle of some type. If run in a straight line all the time, there is a wear issue.
Efi Mark has already mentioned however it can be costly compared to a normal carb... I love my carb as the car feels like a race car , and i love the flames on the over run..
Fuel consumption is low under hard driving, however i get over 20mpg at 70mph on the motorway as i have a G50/52 gear box.( i dont cruise very often)
