Electrical gremlins - any ideas?

Been having a couple of electrical gremlins:

charging light comes on intermittently after the engine is started, and occasionally on the move. Doesn't seem to be rev related, and the belt is intact and well tensioned.

Plus alarm has gone off a few times recently just 5 mins after setting it, then seems alright again, except it sometimes beeps on setting which it never used to.

Duff connection somewhere? Any similar experiences? Same problem or 2 separate ones? Feedback appreciated, thanks chaps.

The fusible link on the driver's side of the engine bay has a habit of breaking in half, with the two halves staying in contact with each other and providing an intermittant circuit. That could cause these symptoms so worth checking.

Thanks, had a look but its not very clear which wire I am looking for, can you point me to the right place?
