Manual Choke conversions
Discussion
Hi
Generally what changes are involved in this process?
According to the previous owner of my friends car it had a manual choke conversion done.
I have had a quick look at the car (1.6 nissan primera from 1992 or 3) and it has two wires spliced in to the relay that controls the automatic choke which terminate into the car with two crimp "blade" connectors (The female side of this http://www.ael-aberdeen.co.uk/productImages/BLADE....
According to the previous owner the control for the manual choke was just a switch near the wheel which is still there, Is it possible someone for some reason someone yanked or removed these wires from the back of the switch and they just need connecting back up?
before I start trying to remove bits of the dash to access the back of this switch, if I jump/short the wires that come from the relay would that achieve the same function as activating the switch?
