Had it since launch but just started it. Literally 15 minutes in !

Any starting tips ? I played Oblivion for over 300hrs. Did as many side quests as possible and then went for the main story line. Fancy doing the same here ?

Do whatever you like. That's the beauty of Skyrim, and similar to Oblivion. Main quest, side quests or just go for a stroll it doesn't matter.

Skyrim is much improved over Oblivion with regards to not breaking quests by random dungeon diving.

If you want dragons though, you need to do the first 4-5 main quests before they turn up.

I would advise on having an alarm clock nearby set to when you need to go to bed, relying on when the sun comes up and the birds are tweeting is bad, but it will happen..

Bear in mind the quicker you go through the main quest the quicker you get bothered by random dragons.

It's like Oblivion but more awesome. And cold. And with more flying reptiles of firey death. And less daedra.

Levelling has been completely revamped - remember how you had classes, 8 atributes, 21major/minor skills, and the dreaded levelling problem? All gone, replaced by a much better, if a lot taken out or altered, system of just levelling the skills you want to use, and levelling up as and when rather than having to sleep. (IMO)

Oh, and orcs are no longer green and fugly, and graphics in general are vastly superior.

I finally got my last skill up to level 100...and now sitting at level 81.5 total. Used the smithing, enchanting and alchemy glitch...

my daedric armour has the following
Chest: 100% resistance to frost and fire
Arms: 100% block and pickpocket
Legs: 100 additional carrying spaces and 100% additional 1 handed damage
feet: 100% resistance to disease and shocks
necklace: 100% resistance to poison and heavy armour skill increased by 58 points
helmet: Waterbreathing and lockpicking

My total armour has been smithed up to legendary (with the glitch) and its armour rating 2800.
My daedric mace has been smithed up to legendary (with the glitch) and its damage rating is 1000, the mace also has drain health and capture soul on it, so I fill soul gems easily to keep my enchantments up.

I can destroy a legendary dragon in 1 hit if sneaking at a word wall where they are resting, or 4 hits otherwise, everything else is pretty much a 1 hit wonder!

I am also 800 hours into the game, have every location seen (including on solstheim), have done all the thieves guild, nightingale, companions, the circle, college of winterhold, dark brotherhood, imperial legion, blades, bards college, vampire questline, then got healed of vampirism, then did dawnguard, also did all of the stahlrim questline, miraak questline etc. I am a thane in all holds, have a house in all holds (either built my own or bought one)

Now just doing run of the mill stuff, generic quests until the next expansion. All of this whilst also doing minecraft and BF3 in between!

wowo- i love computer games, but you probably need to get out a bit more. Sunlight is very very good for you. Computer monitors aren't.

I wish that I was in the same position as the OP. I clocked 200 plus hours on this on my PS3 before the glitches became too much. Bethesda need to hurry up with details on Fallout 4.
