Its all gone wrong

Back in August (friday 13th)i posted that i had not had an engine rebuild, well I have done about 1000 miles since then, on wednesday night I went out for a drive down to my brothers when I noticed a light tapping noise from the top end of the engine.
To the car back to the dealers yesterday they think the top end of the engine has worn out they are going to look at it this week and let me know the bad news, he did say though that i have got a very good warrenty and he doesent see a problem with the covering the cost. Went to my first SE London NW Kent meet few weeks ago looks like it will be the last for a while.

Have you had the valve clearances checked recently? If you've not had any other symptoms it could just be that they need adjusting...

I also posted that I hadnt had a rebuild, but guess what........ Yep! Mine has gone back to Blackpool today. The dealer says it is the head gasket. I was on the M11 last Monday and it started making a funny noise and then loads of steam came out from the exhaust pipes.
The dealer has told me it will be a rebuild.
Estimated to take 8 weeks
