As the title says really, I'm after a radiator for my 1997 Chimaera. I've been on the internet and found a couple of places but they seem a bit expensive. Is it cheaper to get my existing one fixed. Any ideas?

Many thanks, Dave

Ps Can i get away with rad weld for a short term fix or shall I stay well clear of this.

Buy it. It's a snip. Mine cost over £100 to get re-cored 2 years ago!

I'm a bit paranoid about radiators, I'd def check with a good Tvr man before buying, had mine fitted in Cov works really good. Piece of mind that an after Market alley rad flows correctly! There probably all ok for all I know!

Look at the stty feedback score, just had a Griff one done with the high capacity stronger core about 170.

Didn't have a good look just saw the price. At the end of the day it's just a Range Rover core. I had mine re-cored abbout three years ago come to think of it and have had no issues whatsoever including several trackdays and a trip to the ring. As long as the rest of your cooling system is in good nick you'll have no problems.

On the bigger motors I would pay extra for the more populated core scratchchin and that is not stock RR wink

The bigger capacity core isn't much more money and worth every penny. WLA/Walldonway used to have this core put in nearly all there cars that had overheating issues. That rad on ebay isn't right.
