RV8 Cam bearing fitting tools

IMO take it somewhere experienced and have it done. You might get lucky DIY'ing, good chance you wont.

I had my LS bearings installed after a failed DIY attempt ( twice ). The tool was similar to the above videos, except they used a long 3/4" diameter threaded bar to draw the bearings in, rather than hammering them in.

The tools that I have seen used on the RV8 are a long large diameter bit of threaded rod(studding) with differing size large thick style washers to draw them into place, one set was made of a hard nylon material and the other aluminium from a wheel bearing race outer cup installer.
