Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.4 TSI
Discussion
Got my Ibiza August 2011 in standard form when it was 4 months old. Only options on it were Bi-Xenon Lights and the Paint colour, a strange orangey/gold called Tribu. These have the Twincharged 1.4 engines with 7spd DSG gearbox. 178bhp standard.
This was it when I picked her up. Mooon buggy ride height!

Since then it has had a few mods to it as follows.
Jabbasport Remap bringing power up to 211bhp
35mm Lowering springs
Sparco Assetto Gara alloys 17x7.5
Modified Forge induction kit.
EBD Redstuffs and ATE Fluid
Few pics

Less space in the back than a Mk7 Fiesta (had a Zetec S before this) but theres space in the car for a 6ft guy to put a helment on aha
(not me, im a short arse, but my passenger managed @ the track day) Interior is alright, Dont like the radio, I dont think the facelift radio is much better either. I like the stitched seats and the dials.

At gti international mine was 0-60 in 5.72 with stage 1 map and induction only. 1/4 mile was 14..1 iirc. I only had one run though

When I had it first mapped. Not sure how strict the forum police are here but there is other vids of the car on my YouTube profile

Ive booked up for Cadwell again on 13th April with a friend in a "track ready" Mk5 fiesta. Should be a good day so long as its dry. Will have to relearn the track if its wet! ive got a few more pics from last time, will upload them at somepoint.
As for mods between now and the next track day. Ive bought a camera mount and a phone holder to record the fun.

And I've got a lightweight battery to go in place of the large one thats circa 20kg.
Every little helps aha

Cheers, yeah I couldn't justify the extra for an a1 or polo, even if the interior in them was excellent.
The smurf on the back is just random but I'm 22 so I'm allowed to be a little childish aha
Having anything hanging off the back of a FWD car in my area is the badge of the absolute bell cheese. All the car park warriors that sit about all night and wheelspin their measly motors about have them. Sorry the ones I know deserve an ABSOLUTE bell cheese. Without caps doesnt do them justice. The smurf on the back is just random but I'm 22 so I'm allowed to be a little childish aha
OP you seem like a nice guy that likes cars and driving in general. Distance yourself from the idiots!
Car looks good though. Its definately an aquired taste colour wise but seems to work. Does the car come with Vreds as standard?
How does she drive now it's been lowered? I have a 1.2 TSi FR and was it is also very high, but from what I read the ride seems to get very hard on lower springs...
Obviously there's a fair bit less roll but the ride is firm now. Mines lowered 35mm all round. I had my fiesta Lowered 35mm too and that was a little smoother/not as harsh to drive. best thing to do would be find someone with the springs and see if you can cope with it. The 1.2 TSi's are good fun
Hear you can get them remapped to around 140bhp?
A nice car but really spoiled by that tat hanging off the bumper. Could do with being a touch, or a lot, louder but that is just my preference
Yeah it is super quiet. Its really strange, though nice when just cruising to work or on the motorway. Not convinced on any of the exhausts available sound wise for these. Could go custom but not sure I want to lose the peace and quiet I can have. In the car it is nice and grunty when you give it some. But its just a noise, having the induction kit helps with the supercharger/turbo noises so thats a bonus aha.

Okay, the consensus has spoken. Mr Smurf is coming off
Sitting in industrial estates and car parks hasnt been my thing for about 4years.
Yeah Its not a colour I would have ever thought of. When I was looking there was a white one with more miles and a year older or this one with 900miles on it and the extras for a negligible price difference and I'd had a white fiesta before hand. It had to be done. General feelings i get about the colour are that its an interesting colour but I doubt one many people would buy.
Standard it came with Bridgestone Potenzas that I personally dont rate at all (especially for the price of them!)
