Skid Pans or Similar N London/Herts/Beds/Essex Etc

Does anybody know of the above or other space that could be rented in or near these areas....not looking for the usual car on hydraulics etc....just a space to hire where Im not going in trouble for practicing a bit of car control in my own car.

Don't know if Rockingham is too far away, but i did a session on their low grip set up with the TVRCC, and it was brilliant fun, and learnt so much as well.

Thanks for the repsonses, have done and am doing some car limits days. Just wondered if there was something without the tuition/cheaper where I could practice some basics for a couple of hours on my own?

At Millbrook there's a company (forget the name) that offers skidpan tuition.

When me and a friend went down there we ended up having a right laugh, the instructor just sat back and let us play about for the whole session xD

You probably mean Cat Driver Training. Their "skid pad" is concrete and unless wet, not very slippery.

Car Limits will just wreck your tyres as its an awful surface.

If you want tuition on very low friction surface that will not wear your tyres, have a look at YouDrive at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone:
