HD camcorder recommendation

My dad is looking to spend between £250-£300 on an HD camcorder. Wants one that uses SDHC cards, with the ability to take stills whilst filming. GPS would be a nice to have but not essential. Ease of use for basic functions is imperative. He's used to touchscreen camcorders and does like a good zoom!

Does anyone have any recommendations?
