I bought one of these last month. Can't go wrong for £600 plus a 5 year warranty. Haven't bothered with any of the smart functionality or 3D as this is for the day room fed by a tivo.

My one irritation is that the hdmi sockets are really tight to a lump on the back meaning that I've had to put an additional 90 degree connector to get my IR repeater to clear the back of the tv which slows down the controller response incredibly.

I doubt many people would have this problem though!

Its also quite a bit smaller than my old G30 in all directions. and actually suffers from screen glare more than the G30 now I come to think of it.

Everyone who looks at it seems to like it so it can't be that bad!

I have the TXP42UT50B, and I'd recommend it as long as you don't suffer from reflections as it doesn't have the screen filter that the more expensive ones do. I have a dark room so it's not an issue for me at all. At 600 notes for the 50" one it's a bargain.

Ordered one of these for me old man who has just discovered Sky Sports HD biggrin

Should be here on Tuesday and up on the wall on Thursday and I'll let you now what me thinks.

Interestingly I have a 50" 1080P Plasma which is now 6 years old so will be nice to see how this one compares...

Fired up and looking good.

When it sits turned off , you can see it has a higher reflection than the G20 it replaces , but switched on , it is great.

Itseems a tad dark for the moment on the out of the box settings , but cant be bothered to mess with it as yet.

Seems excellent value , well happy.

There's a ton of things you can do to get the best picture. I broadly followed the recommendations I found on avforums but the main thing to do is set it to true cinema mode first.
