So went to the car this morning to find all 4 tyres have been slashed. Know full well who it is, as we've been having trouble with the lovely people we share the street with.

We live at no. 8 and next door at no.6 they have parties every Friday and Saturday night. Loud music, shouting, fighting in the street and garden, alcohol, drug taking, you name it, they do it.

So not being the type to just lay low and put up with it, we've asked them to turn it down a few times and have called the police and anti-social noise nuisance teams. To our delight we've been threatened in the past by a guy who attends the party's and who lives at no. 16. His exact words have been "fking move or I'll kill you, you're wife, and your kids or I'll batter you and fking kill you".

So this is ongoing and like I said this morning, I find all the tyres have been slashed with a knife. They're not cheap to replace either. The size is 215/55/16 Vs and the cheapest budgets are £55 corner and a decent pair of Michelin's are about £120 a corner.

I'm fking fuming, what kind of low-life messes with another persons automobile?

Stick a camera in the car, go round and complain again, report to police, wash, rinse, repeat wink

If it's a council house then crimes committed are grounds for eviction. That should sort the issue out!

Do you live near this person?

Don't know how to change this into a posh link that says what it is.

I think if its escalated to the point of vandalism you should consider moving.

Whats next paint stripper? Bricks?

The police won't care(lack of evidence).
The crime will go unpunished anyway(slap on the wrist)

Unless your willing to take the law into your own hands and handle the possible repercussions then you don't have many choices really.

Only you know if these people are just simply a pain who need a bit of a bking or nasty wkers who don't care about anything.

It does sound a bit caancil though. My neighbours wouldn't dare behave like that.

Yeah, simply put if you want to end it you need to retaliate in the next day or two and it needs to be an extremely excessive response to tyre slashing.

If you dont they will think your a wimp and every single time you complain or moan they will do something similarly petty like slashing tyres or throwing stones.

I quite like that idea, I might look into that.

The Mrs. does but I'm more of the type of wanting to fight it out and have the satisfaction of getting them evicted.

I want to get the tyres replaced, inflate them to about 80psi and wait in the boot for him to do it again. The Mrs. Is insisting on parking it at her Grandma's who lives about a 15 minute walk away and to be fair it's probably the right thing to do. Next time, it might not just be the tyres they damage.

Just spent a fortune on decorating the kids bedroom too. It really is nice and the kids love it too.

In some ways I wish I hadn't of called the police and reported it. Anything I do now to get my own back, is just going put me straight in the spotlight.

They have no car, that I can do the same too (I would if they did) so my current ideas are:
Slashing their kids trampoline, but maybe it's unfair to take out on the kids.

Getting a nice slab of meat and soaking it in some kind of poison and then leaving it in their garden for the dog to eat. Again it's probably unfair to take out on the dog, plus they might do the same and kill ours.

Chucking a load of petrol over the front door and setting it alight. Might be a bit extreme.

Waiting and watching for the guy to leave his house and follow him until he gets to somewhere quiet. It would be nice to shove him into the back of a van and drop him off in the middle of nowhere, but I don't have a van.

In all honesty it's probably just all keyboard warrior talk but I'm just really pissed off about it. I don't know what I'd do if I met him on the street but my temper is pretty fierce if I lose it.

Sounds awful. I'd move. As soon as possible. Life's too short and you should pick your battles. It doesn't sound like your going to win this one, unless you play the long game with councils, police, massive headaches and stress. Or alternative you kill them all, but then you'll be the one in prison. No-win unfortunately, such is law enforcement these days. And killing people is really very wrong, so don't do that.

Get moved and once you have think of the revenge you could have then...! smashbiggrin

Oh I will be. If we do move, I will be making a few return trips with a few bricks.

I've dealt with people like them as clients. Only one thing will work and that's total shock and awe.

Do you know anyone who will pay them a visit - proper people? Are you friendly with any gypsies who might owe you a favour?

This sort of individual responds only to one thing, and that's a serving of extreme terror.

Clearly someone who doesn't actually have the balls to carry out his previous threat so thinks causing damage to your property when you are not about makes him a hard man.

It's about bloody time that the police took more of an interest in these kind of neighbourly issues and resolved them before things escalate to this level.
