It's a lovely story... and yet... doesn't that mean that he spent however many years in a care home without family, without visitors? Maybe I'm just being morbid because it's nearly 5am and I can't sleep, but there seems to be something terribly terribly sad underneath this. Someone knew he was a Marine... could they not have found some volunteers to visit him in life?

These biker chaps turn up at a lot of forces funerals. I went to Lt Cdr Ian Molyneux's (hms astute) funeral in April 2011, a load of them turned up there to. A great bunch of blokes, vey patriotic and I suspect mostly ex Forces.

They are. I suspect, however, that the chaps on the Gold Wing and the Rocket III (IINM) are not members.
