Hi!

I'm wanting to try and arrange a trip to Spa for my dads 60th, but I'm a little bemused to be honest!

Can anyone recommend places to stay, places to watch, travel options?

Many Thanks in advance!

Ledger do a coach tour, £399 they pick you up locally and it includes 3 nights b&b and sat/sun tickets.

Been a couple of threads about this already but you'll struggle to get anywhere cheap nearby now. We're staying close to verviers but have heard you can get the train from liege or Brussels. Camping might also be a possibility.

Monaco gp is actually working out cheaper for us. Especially as we're getting the train in each day.

Just be aware the camp sites can be pretty rowdy. Hard house music, opportunistic bonfires and endless scrambler quad bike fly bys are my most prominent memories from camping at spa! The base of Eau Rouge is a great spot to see the F1 aero at work, but try to be lined up with a TV screen.

Some nonsense from me here, including photos from quite a few different locations, if that helps. I have camped before and it's great for a group of 20-somethings. Wouldn't try it with my dad though.

Me, my dad and brother in law booked up for this leaving Frankley services near Bromsgrove. Plenty of stubbies and some cards
