I've asked the dealer, if as part of the prep on the griff, they can source a functioning alarm siren. I get the impression that they might struggle with that, as its something to do with coding tying them exclusively to that alarm, which are no longer made, as well as the internal battery having died a long time ago no doubt!

Is anyone aware of a source of working sirens for the oem alarm, or will I have to go the route of a whole new alarm system being installed?

The alarm legend is Carl Baker - but I believe he has now moved to France? (someone else might be able to confirm that...). Here is the site - he fitted my remote boot release.

I have seen these guys mentioned before Abacus and their shop...never used them myself though.

The alarm is probably the standard fit Meta System. Mine was replaced back in 2009, I think with the MT99 (trying to remember the invoice details off memory).

Working sirens for the Meta are now like the proverbial, I missed a new one on ebay a few years ago and haven't seen one since.

Moycie / Digger,

Carl Baker replaced the alarm and immobiliser on my car on Tuesday this week.
He is still in the UK and will be for the next few weeks.

He intends to maintain support for TVR when he is France however clearly Petersfield is a tad closer.

Many thanks guys.

Carl will indeed be popping over to Fernhurst to sort and fit a remote boot release as well. smile
