Hi All,

I'm now the proud (apprehensive) owner of a 2003 XJ8 4.2 SE (X350) and have noticed a couple interior lights out and also one of the rear number plate bulbs.
The interior bulbs that need replacing are the dash clock bulb and the rear courtesy lamp bulb. Has anyone done this are they major jobs?

I can't imagine that the courtesy bulb is a big job, does the bulb cover just unclip somehow or is it a bit more involved?

I've read that the clock bulb can be a bit of a mission as the registers? (wooden dash panels) need to come off before you can get the clock unit out. How do you get these dash panels off?

With regards to the rear number plate bulb, the lens/cover itself is not there and the existing bulb appears to be broken. I haven't had a go at getting what's left of the bulb out but the main question is whether anyone knows of a parts supplier, other than main dealer, that may have a replacement lens/cover.

All advice gratefully received, thanks in advance for any helpful advice given.

Hi,

Try EuroJag for a replacement light lens, very good breaker of Jaguars.

The number plate lens is easy, I haven't done the interior ones, but can't imaging they are too taxing.

The sidelights/headlights are a PITA though
