It has been for sale for a while and discussed on here a couple of times.

Not sure if anyone have been to take a look but when I was looking into it (to rip the engine out) it turned out an expensive way of buying an unproven 5.5 engine which hasn't been run for some time.

I don`t think Rob would agree with that statment ! he built it. he would not build an engine which would not work.

What do you mean about "unproven 5.5 engine" ?

He means it's sat unused for a long time, which no matter how well the engine was built is never a good thing.

From memory of the vendors original advert some time ago, it mentioned that the car was never actually driven on the road after the V8D 5.5 litre engine was fitted.

You might assume those all important early running in days on the fresh engine were lost, although I expect Rob does some of this for you on his engine dyno.

You could continue to argue it's a bit of an unknown entity, but knowing Rob who is an honest guy, he will always stand by his work.

So I'd be seeing what Rob says before all us armchair experts completely condemn it out of hand.

On something like this Rob may even offer an engine recommissioning service & thorough check over before the key gets turned again after all this time.

After all it's still got his name on it.
