I've had some upgrades done to make my car eligible to race and I'm sittin my ards test next week, However after reading the blue book I've identified a few other things I might need to look at,

Can anyone advise on what seat/harness combo would fit the noble and meet the fia approval,
What rain light and switch system is good?

Also do I need to have a separate fuel cut off switch or does the cartek master kill switch satisfy that requirement?
At what level of racing do I need to have Kevs/pro-alloy fia approved tank fitted?

Separate to that, can someone recommend a rollover valve for the fuel tank as my plastic jobby seems to be dripping when the car is hot.
Im sure there are other things but thats all i can remember just now, MOT passed today though smile

Thanks

Graham

Electrical isolator
Roll cage
Side intrusion bars
Transponder
FIA approved seat
FIA approved race suit
Max angle of harnesses,
must be three inch harnesses
Seat mountings
Fire extinguisher system with active and test indicator

Off the top of my head

Do you still intend to use it on the road? This will make a big difference to seat choice.

Really curious, what championship are you entering/eligible for?

Thanks Adrian,

Sorry I should have added,

Jetstream have already fitted to the car;
Electrical isolator,
Modified the roll cage to suit with door bars, uprights and rear diagonal bars as per rule book,
and approved fire extinguisher system to engine bay and cockpit.

Well to start with as I'm up in sunny Scotland most likely ill just be doing some SMRC (scottish motor racing championship) races/ sprints and hillclimbs but I don't want to limit the car to that as once I've got into it I may look to venture south for some bigger events, its just for fun.

Adrian I hope to keep the car road legal if possible.

If you're doing roundly roundly racing you'll need a catch tank/ expansion bottle on the header tank overflow

And I would recommend some tank foam.

Cadwell is worringly close to the border hopefully I might see you there. I'm bound to get stuck with a few meeting there, I lways get the furthest away frown

Ah yes, I've already fitted tank foam when I done the twin pump upgrade,

To be honest work commitments will limit things this year but hopefully next year ill get a heap of racing done.

Graham, the mods you have done should easily comply for MSA Sprint / Hillclimb regs especially if you enter in a modified road class, if you want to go beyond that you will need a various other things some as Adrain suggest. Drop me an email with your mobile if you want to discuss although Dave & Matt will be able to advise.

Passed ARDS end of last year, race licence turned up last week, it's a piece of cake, the video is a bit arduous, same guy some of you might know from Silverstone briefings. You'll breeze it no problem yes Last pics of car looked great, any more to wet our appetite??!!

Had a scrutineer look over the car today, the only issue he had was that the extra bars added to the cage were trimmed over the welds and made inspection difficult so ill probably just cut back the alcantara to expose the welds.

I do however need to add a rain light, a fia approved harness, a transponder and also need some form of evidence that the rear spoiler is a standard manufacturers fitment (Wierd).

That's me entered the first two rounds of the Knockhill sprint championship smile

I've got a few more pics for you, will add later.

Check the rules for the wing, some championships say it cannot be higher than the roof

My mate sent me a picture of your car today and I was saying you we're looking to enter the smrc. Will make sure I make it along to watch. Couldn't make today due to uni work unfortunately but he said it was a good day.

Yeah thats the 350mm big disc kit from Jetstream/Alcon. I didn't go for the callipers, the discs themselves provide enough extra braking power to make the thing stand on its nose with ease while using the pagid RS29's. I can only imagine the Alcon 6 pots would give serious lock up problems. Here is the only other pic i have at the mo.
