Tried this today on my E92 M3. The car is alpine white and I've traditionally struggled to remove swirls with my DA Machine as the lacquer is, typically for BMWs, rock hard.

Thus far Ive just done the roof (carbon) and bonnet and Ive found the new correction compound and MF cutting pads to be excellent. The bonnet looks outstanding now with no swirls or scratches and I havent even waxed or polished it yet.

Anyone else tried it?

By the way, can anyone tell me what the megs correction compound smells of? I recognise it but cant place it. Where is Google smell search when you need it!

Been using that for 5+ years. Not a patch on the new stuff. The DA stuff is specifically for a Dual Action Polishing machine whereas swirl x is generic.

The MF systems are very good, they can remove a large amount of clear coat/paint though so a paint gauge is always handy if possible.

The compound reminds me of the atomic fireball sweets you used to get!
