Evening all, cheap plug warning!
Southend Council in their infinite wisdom have decided to cancel the airshow, which is very shortsighted decision!
Sitting on Southend seafront and watching the spectacle unfold is one of the great things about living in this town, taking that away from everyone is a real shame. Now I know there are better and glitzier airshows but this one hold a special place in my heart and I for one cannot understand why the Council would want to get rid of it.
A couple of us have set up a campaign to raise awareness and get the council to listen to the public, who clearly want the airshow to stick around!
