Being followed on your way to work...
Discussion
Strange thing happened to me this morning, may have happened to others on here...
...Driving to work this morning - it being Saturday and about 6.45 the roads were relatively dead.
I wasn't driving like a maniac but was going probably faster than the average Joe around some roundabouts, because I can really... Someone in a car behind me obviously decides it will be fun to keep up with me - fair play to them! I'm not going dangerous speeds, but driving enthusiastically.
They're sticking with me right until I turn off into my work car park - They follow me in. I think it's someone from work, but at the point where they realise that they've turned into my car park - they turn around and prompty exit?
What's the thought process behind this?

t is one of reasons I like having power that rarely people can keep up. Pull a gap then pll over or keep her chappin...We were once followed into a pub car park by a varied crop of MGs on a the Regency Run (Brooklands to Marine Parade Brighton).
Most of them agreed with the navigator that it looked a good spot for lunch so all in all a big vote of confidence for her navigating skills.
I think your fan was just enjoying following an enthusiastically driven car.

Years ago we were going to a Mini meet at Silverstone (if I remember right) and we couldn't remember the way. (We were teenagers after all) and we saw a Mini all stickered up so we followed it, thinking it was going to the event... Nope!!
They had the joy of 4 Mini's following them for about 50 miles until some bright spark in our car (the navigator) realised we had passed the the turn-off about 20 miles ago..
People do odd things in cars..

anything worth stealing from your car?
Nope - security controlled work car park - with more expensive cars in it.SMGB said:

Perhaps this is the case - I could have pushed a lot harder, wasn't really trying Most of them agreed with the navigator that it looked a good spot for lunch so all in all a big vote of confidence for her navigating skills.

I do have a ph sticker on the back, so if it was any of the above (
) or anyone on here, hi
I remember years ago (before satnavs) there was a huge accident on the A1 s/b near Wentbridge and it was backed up for miles. After being sat in the queue for way too long one of the cars a good few places in front of us suddenly pulled out of the traffic and went down an unclassified country lane. We kinda came to the conclusion that he must be a local and was probably taking a short cut to avoid the crash and rejoin the A1 further down, so not knowing the area we decided to follow him - what could possibly go wrong?
. As we turned off we saw that there were another bunch of cars in the queue behind us that had had the same idea.
So this guy in the lead was going at a fairly rapid number of leptons down these roads which further cemented our belief that he knew the area. 10 miles went by and we're feeling pretty pleased with ourselves that this was a good decision and we'd be rejoining the A1 any moment now, when suddenly the lead guy turns into his private road, parks his car up and goes into his house!
So there we are, us and 4 other cars from the A1 queue all sitting outside this guy's house at the end of a dead end private road looking very silly.
Oh how that guy must've laughed when he got inside his house! As it turned out we were no longer anywhere near the A1 either!
